Importing subscriptions from RS 2000 to RS 2005

Hi, I am moving from SQL server 2000 to SQL server 2005. I'am also moving to the new Reporting services 2005. There are almost 400 reports and like 100 subscriptions under the actual configuration. I have imported the reports but I don't know how to recreate the subscriptions.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Alejandro Gutierrez.

It sounds like to did not upgrade, but you are rather trying to migrate the contents to RS 2005. You could move the subscriptions for instance by making SOAP calls to retrieve the settings from one server and apply them on the other server.

A tool I found quite useful for performing this kind of job is Jasper Smith's RS Scripter: http://www.sqldbatips.com/showarticle.asp?ID=62

Yes, I'm migrinting to another server. That tool seems pretty cool. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks a bunch !!!

Importing MS Word Forms

I have some complex Word forms that need to be converted into reports. Are
there any tools for converting/importing Word to RDL format as you can't
paste into the desinger.
Thanks
Toby.SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services does not support this directly. You
might check to see if one of our partners is able to assist you:

Importing from Crystal Report 7 to Reporting Services

Dear all,

I was wondering if I can import reports made by crystal report 7 to Reporting Services 2000.

Thank you.This one isn't free, but may be worth a try for $5-$15.
Another consulting company, Hitachi, provides services to do this. See Post.
There is no built-in way to convert reports.

Importing Crystal Reports into Reporting Services

I see that you can import Access reports into Reporting Services. Is that
an add-in or something that will allow me to import Crystal Reports reports
into Reporting Services?
Any help is greatly appreciated.Not out of the box, but there are companies, develop tools for the same.
Goolge and see you will get some tools.

Importing Active Reports to SQL 2005 reporting services

Does anyone know of any documentation that shows a easy way to import

Crystal reports / Active reports to SQL 2005 reporting services?

Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this: There are no wizards, etc. in SSRS (or 3rd party, as I recall) that will do the work for you. There are some services (Hitachi consulting, etc.) that will refactor the reports for you, but this obviously will cost some $$'s you probably don't want to spend.

Importing Access Reports

I am trying to import access reports from an Access 2003 database. I am
getting two different errors, and none of the reports are being imported.
The first error is:
An error occurred while the report DailySales was being imported:
Reserved Error
The second error is:
An error occurred while the report Report: Weekly was being imported: The
given path's format is not supported.
I believe the second error is due to the naming convention not allowing ":"
in the name, but I do not know how to fix the first error.
Any suggestions?The first error could be coming from Access. Could you try the following?
Open your database in Microsoft Access. Create a new Module and paste the
following code into it:
Sub Export()
Application.ExportXML ObjectType:=acExportReport, _
DataSource:="DailySales ", _
ImageTarget:=".", _
PresentationTarget:="DailySales .xsl", _
OtherFlags:=acPersistReportML
End Sub
Set the cursor at the beginning of the Sub and click the Run button. If
ExportXML succeeds, it should create a file called "DailySales_report.xml"
in your "My Documents" folder. If you can send the file to me, I'll look at
it. If ExportXML fails, then it's an Access problem. You could try the
Access newsgroups for help.

we use on a frequent basis and run the reports. Tommorow when I get into the
office, I will try your solution. If the reports do generate the .xml file,
where should I email it to so you can look at it?
I have a feeling my visual studio .net install is corrupt, so before i try
your solution, I am going to uninstall everything and do a fresh install. I
am also having a problem using mdb files as datasources (visual studio
crashes when adding tables to a query), so maybe my errors are connected. I
did however try creating a blank report with just a label in the header, and
I still got the same error.
Thanks again,

either semi colons (:) or ampersands (&). Now i get reserved errors and item
already added errors...

Importing Access Reports

Hi,
I'm trying to import some access reports into Report Services.
The reports are stored in a .adp file and connect to a MS SQL server database.
I'm using the import from Reporting Services in VS.NET, but am getting the
following error on 90% of the reports.
An error occurred while the report <<report name>> was being imported: The
given path's format is not supported.
Out of about 20 reports, it only successfully imports 4. All of the reports
work in the adp file fine. Have anyone seen this error before, and possibly
provide a fix or workaround to import the reports?
Thanks in advance.Anthony, hello. I'm getting this same error. Did you ever figure this out?
I would love to figure this out.
Thanks!
